(Re: High Fidelity)
Ack! Really?? I've seen it at least three times. Loved it.
Book was better (books always are) but somewhat different as the narrator is
British, not American. I was impressed, belatedly, with the American
adaptation of it, and Cusack is just fantastic. What 'Kelvinish' reasons
caused such dislike?!

I'm entirely too disorganized to have *any* system for sorting my CDs. Half
the time I can't find the case, or the booklet is missing... or I have the
case and the booklet, but no clue where the disk is. (The latter, clearly,
is a bigger issue.) The Tribute CD is getting much airplay right now. Very
interesting... very love-it-or-hate-it sort of reactions... can't remember
enough right now to specify, but it's ALL interesting.

Books: I love books. I always have my nose in a book. I can't list favs,
only ones that struck me as a complete and utter waste of my time:

... The Green Mile. Stephen King might be a best selling author, but it
beats me why. I hated his writing style... it's so... juvenile, maybe. I
don't know. The dialogue felt forced and the descriptions were anything but
poetic.
... The Little Blender Book. Let's get real. Most of us own a blender, but
how often do you really use it? And when you do, do you go hunting for a new
recipe to try? heehee... I'm not sure I've even really opened this all the
way. ;)

Other than those, I think I've gotten *something* out of everything I've
read... Well, besides Proust. I've started _Swann's Way_ three times now and
just CANNOT get into it.

Sports: jg, hon, I'm not a sports fan, per se. I have a preteen son; I HAVE
to like sports. It's requisite. That said, I actually do enjoy watching
football.

Can't help you with the Patriots' actual venue, however... I'm certain they
have a home field, but I don't know where it is. If I had to guess, I'd say
Boston, since that's where the parade was this afternoon (saw it on CNN while
I was working out at lunchtime.. how yuppie is that... eeeeck.)

I do know Belichek (sp?!) is from Annapolis, however... his father was a
coach/scout of some sort for Navy football. So of course that pinned who I
had to root for Sunday. ;)

Saturday I went to a Baltimore Blast game. Indoor soccer... very exciting.
Took my son and two of his friends... great fun.

Must get sleep...
G'night all...
Anita
