no idea. i do it too. ever since i got the book 6 years ago, i find myself
wandering back to it.
it's not on purpose, sometimes it's more than once a year. it is such
alarge story to me - there is so much there, that each time i read it,
something new happens to hit me. maybe because it is so rich?
this time around i'm reading it aloud with my boyfriend - the imagery is
even more appealing (: the poetry is wonderful.
i'm not a lotr geek, i do happen to know wierd things about middle earth,
but only through absorption.
i have found it interseting that it's not so much a phenomenon related
just to programmers as i thought be fore. or maybe it is.
so for a non-answer - it just pulls me. how many books can you re-read
when your bored - wanting something to read... i cna't think of many.
douglas adams and lotr and asimov.
