RE: Most Influential

hi kids.

everyjan's daughter asked about our most influential cds and books and movies...

hmmm.

i don't know about a most influential cd. i know that *strength* was a driving force in getting me over my break-up with chuck. and *rhapsodie* has come to me once again, no longer tainted by the thought of him. something in the line "and if you should ever leave, then i will love you for what you need..." finally really hit home with me. it's a nice feeling. peaceful.

the _ender series_ by orson scott card has to be one of the most influential series i've ever read...the underlying views on prejudice and everything really struck a chord with me...it was something that i was always exposed to, although i never understood it. i guess it's that way for a lot of people...i was just lucky to be on the third side of prejudice...the side which wasn't really affected at all except to see it around them.

and movie? i don't know. i don't really watch a lot of movies. probably a child's movie, though, if i had to pick anything. the meanings are so deeply hidden within children's films that you wonder for whom they were truly made.

happy monday, everybody! :)

*hugz and kisses*
