Of course it is true!!!  I told you I learned it in class today.  
Superglue is a polymer that is catalyzed by water.  When you put it 
on something from the tube, it is catalyzed by the water in the air 
and polymerized.  Therefore- if you tried to use it in a vacuum, 
there would be no air and no water to be in that air, so- you 
couldn't use superglue!!!!  Don't you all feel so much smarter now 
that you learned that?  Hehe...Sarah
