new tires and an alignment
hey kids.
we took chuck's car in to get new tires and an alignment yesterday, and
_besides_ just happened to be in his cd player.
i thought it was interesting to note that before they took the car in, the cd
was at the very end...the applause after *if i'm drowning*. after they took
the car in, it was in the middle of *within, without*.
someone enjoyed my over the rhine cd.
oh, and sarah asked about our takes on _besides_ and _asr_. i like
_besides_. a lot. it's been spinning in chuck's car almost as much as
journey's greatest hits. i think it's loose and fun, and not structured at
all in the way the rest of their material is. and the more i listen to it, i
*do* like the version of *bothered* on _besides_. i still prefer the _eve_
version, but i do the like the other as well.
as for _asr_, i don't even know where my copy is. i'm glad to have *moth*,
*anyway* and *i will remember* on cd now, but some of their choices for
tracks did not impress me. another *my love is a fever*? and *jack's
valentine* would have been a good choice had it been snoop duggy dug's
version, or the new version with karin singing it. i don't know. i think i
was more dissapointed in it than anything else.
maybe i just need to find it and listen some more. but i have a feeling that
there are several tracks (like *moth*) that will just be repeated over and
over, without my getting through the whole cd.
well, gotta go to school now. joy.
