Re: OtR @ Sharon Woods

last night _was_ good--the kind of show that inspired me to want to stay up
late writing to all of you about it when i got home. (but i was just too
darn sleepy to articulate any thoughts worth reading, so here i am now...)
karin was very loose and comfortable onstage, and everyone seemed like they
were just happy to be playing. don heffing (?) from los angeles flew in to
play the drumset, since the cowboy junkie got stuck at the canadian border.
he wasn't brian, but did a respectable job. i left the show feeling the way
i used to after spending an evening with otr--renewed and inspired and like
some sort of emotional healing from any recent latter days had begun. maybe
it was the venue, or the old friends that i didn't expect to run into, or
the beer, but all i can say is that it was good.

i thought it was lovely to hear both ric and karin sing "circle"...both of
them have a great interpretation of the song, and it was fun to see how they
handled the situation...

>bassist!! Its to damn bad he's not with OtR anymore, I really like his

mike is swell, but you have to admit that the most recent bassist has a
pretty strong presence of his own--if only i could get my head to groove the
way he does...

drew, bruce, dan, the rest of you who i glimpsed across the field--what did
y'all think?

for what its worth,
amy
