Re: Good Dog, happy man

I'm usually only lurking around here, but I just wanted to share a
discovery I made a while ago.
I recently bought a copy of Bill Frisell's latest work 'Good dog, happy man'. I
was quite surprised with the CD layout as it looks very similar to
OTR's GDBD. It's got similar black and white pictures with the dog
sitting close next to Frisell on one and running to the photographer
on another. Obviously, the title suggests some similarites, too.
This made me curious and I looked up the credits and -surprise,
surprise- photographs are copyrighted by Michael Wilson, who also gets
the credits in GDBD. I thought that was pretty neat, even though some
might think that he recycled that good dog idea a bit too close to the
original.
Anyways, Frisell's CD is very nice and definitely worth checking out.
It's quite different to his earlier work, now having quite an
acoustic/country touch (somewhat like Ric's 'Willoughby'). If you like
this kind of music, it's highly recommended.
