many artists, some happy, some horrific...

Dead Voices on Air - _Shap_ and _New Words Machine_
(my near-perfect bedtime: no electric light in the house - only
flickering, DVoA quiet enough to be unsettling, climb into
waterbed. there's more, but i'll choose to spare ye masses.
DVoA is picturesque and eerie - it's Mark Spyby from the former
:zoviet france: along with occasional help from cEVIN Key
of the former Skinny Puppy and currently of Download.)

Aphex Twin - _Selected Ambient Works Vol. II_

O Yuki Conjugate - _Sunchemical Remixes_

Ramnad Krishnan - _Vidwan_
(excellent Indian music for starters btw)

Sixteen Horsepower - _Low Estate_ and _Sackcloth 'n Ashes_

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - all, but esp._Your Funeral, My Trial_ for now.

Lustmord - _The place where the dark stars hang_

Over the Rhine - _Good Dog Bad Dog_ and _Besides_

Cranes - _EP Collection_

Combustible Edison - _I, Swinger_

Steven Jesse Bernstein - _Prison_

Portishead - _Portishead_ and _Dummy_

Einsturzende Neubauten - _Tabula Rasa_

Crash Worship ADRV - _Triple Mania III_ and _Asesinos_
(Adoracion De Rotura Violenta = adoration of violent breakage.
one of the most amazing drumming collectives in existence.)

Laibach - _Nova Akropola_

Skinny Puppy - _The Process_

Loreena McKennitt - _The Mask and the Mirror_

Sinead O'Connor - _Gospel Oak EP_
(thanks Bruce! i swear i'll return it one day...)

This Mortal Coil - _It'll End in Tears_ and _Blood_

do others here experience the halting and slurring of cycles?
i'm very curious about this - i've always gone thru longer
cycles, something like this:
organic - ethnic - gritty - agressive - electro -
purist industrial - ambient/ethereal - organic.

(swanky lounge gets tossed in from time to time also,
along with a host of others.)

my normal listening cycles have stopped in their orbit
several months ago and have turned into a sometimes
violent collage of joyful, sinister, and thirty one other
adjectives, but all within a day or two...

i'm both curious and frightened to see what happens next.
