June 19- Canal Street Tavern

OtR put on a great set as usual... big shock. The first two songs (or so),
they were pretty playful. It was cool, it seemed like they were a lot
looser as the whole band. The trio shows seemed more like they didn't
looosen up until a lot later in the set.

Karin was absolutely stunning in all black. Jay would've been proud.

They did pretty much the same setlist that they've been doing lately. It
was a lot more upbeat, compared to the March Canal Street shows... They did
a pretty rocked out version of "Lucy"- a pretty big Hammond-feel coming
from Linford on this one. Both he and the bassist seemed to be hamming it
up a bit in the middle of this one.

"Jack's Valentine" was great as usual. They seemed to jam for a while on
this one. Jack put on a killer guitar solo. I love the sound he got out
of his guitar. I'm not a guitarist, or a techie of that stuff, but all I
know is I like what I heard. It had a nice warm tone (to me), and he
wailed for a bit. He and Linford also did the copy-cat thing for a tiny
bit...

Karin said that Terri would be back singing for them in the future. "She's
still here." So, that was good news..

At the beginning of their encore, somebody bought them all shots of
Jagermeister. "The most expensive cough medicine."

Overall a great show. It was probably the best I've seen them. Very
intimate at Canal Street and pretty rockin' (as far as OtR goes)..

I hope you all had fun at Bink. There were a few listies here. I finally
met Megan. I'd seen her at other shows, just never had the pleasure of
meeting her. If you're going to that Joy Electric/Morella's Forest show,
maybe I'll see ya there too..

Well, that's all for now. Gotta go start a new load of laundry..
