tribute cd title

Some thoughts:

1) Wow. Lots of good ideas. Almost too many. Has anybody else ever
tried to come up with a CD title with a band? Or a band name? About a
million nights we spent, talking about titles, often degenerating into
the who-can-make-the-nastiest-inuendeo game. Yup. I'm thinkin' that, in
this case, somebody (um, Bruce?) should throw all these titles onto a
master list. Then, I'm thinkin' those people who are actually recording
should all give B their top, say, 3 choices, privately. And, last, I'm
thinkin' that *maybe* the shortened list, made of only performers'
choices, should be submitted to list, and votes should be tallied. BUT,
I wd give veto power to Bruce. SO maybe I'm weak on democracy. What can
it mean? Anyway, it's a suggestion.

2) I like "Improvised by Toddlers." I don't like "Jazz Licks Improvised
by Toddlers," b/c it won't be a jazz album, really, and people not
in-the-know will maybe be confused.

3) My suggestion: "Bad Dog, a tribute to Over the Rhine"

4) I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but I'll throw it out.
If you were to come up with a collective name for all the musicians that
begins with Over the Rhine, say, "Over the Rhine Collective" or "Over the
Rhine (Re)Manufacturing Group" (silly, yes), then the trib CD would
surely end up *next to* "real" OtR CDs in record bins, instead of in the
compilation area. Or maybe it would end up there anyway. Wadoo I know?

No more thoughts in my head.

G'day.
