Just got back from seeing him for free in Ann Arbor. List member Jay also
attended, since he was a Mulvey virgin I'll let him describe more. Mr.
Mulvey played Dreams, Aurora Borealis, Deep Blue, I Am Stretched on Your
Grave (Irish traditional w/ Sinead O'Connor addins, haha), Poet Song (first
one from his newest live CD), On the Way Up (with special guest covocalist
from the Rapture CD, singing whole verses instead of just backing tracks),
Smell the Future, If Love is Not Enough, plus two more cover songs and four
more originals, one of which is unreleased and my favorite thing I've heard
from him.
He's awesome, a great storyteller and a lot of fun to watch.
I asked him if he'd be in for the Over the Rhine tribute CD, and he said
he'd probably give it a go.
