Last night's Monk show...

good stuff...

It was the first time to see Monk. I got his two CDs about a month ago,
and I really dig 'em. at the concert "Circle of Quiet" and "Within
Without" were really cool- nice to hear a different spin on 'em.

"Willoughby" "One Eye Open" and "This Train" were also good to see live.
The most amazing part of seeing a Monk show is seeing what he's doing with
the guitar. I liked the jamming and stuff. Really cool. Also, he doesn't
use a pick (or would that be "pic"..?), does he? That was another point of
impressment (is that a word?).

And the Jimi Hendrix "Manic Depression" was fun, too... and Better Than
Ezra's drummer joining Ric on stage for a jam at the end was cool. I would
have never guessed that they'd be connected in some way. Small world.

Bad points about the night: NO KILLIAN'S RED @ SUDSY'S!! What's up with
that!?!? I normally don't like beer, but I do like Killian's, and I was in
the mood for one. The horror, to find out they didn't have it. So I
settled for a Coke.

Another note: Drew is weird, but in a good way- which is sort of expected.
I never knew that people actually eat at White Castle, though. Not to
mention the topic of discussion...

See ya'll Friday... We gotta set up a get-together time before the OtR
show. Bruce suggested something (I forget the name, but I know how to get
there), so maybe he can fill in the suggestion details...
