I have to say it's really interesting to see how these Canal Street shows
are bringing fans out of the woodwork from as far away as Texas and
Pennsylvania. If there's really going to be as many listees there as it's
starting to look like, Zena and I might make the drive. Imagine-- a
concert where you go as much to see the audience as the band. Well, I
suppose a Dead show might fit that description too, but alas, no more.

Anyway, here's a quick consolidation of the helpful info we've been getting
the past few days about the Canal Street Shows:

Over the Rhine @ Canal Street Tavern -- Saturday and Sunday, March 20 & 21

Canal Street Tavern	Saturday - Doors at 8pm, show at 9:30pm
308 E First St Sunday (smoke free) - Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm
Dayton, OH 45402
(937) 461-9343

$10.00 in advance, $12.00 at the door if still available
To purchase by mail, send a SASE to Canal Street with ticket price plus
$1.00 for handling.
One drink minimum per set (rule not enforced last time)

Some testimony from DPratt949 at aol_com, who lives across the street:
"Nick, the owner, is notorious for keeping the doors closed till, like,
8:00 for a 9:00 opener, and OTR fans line up as early as 6:00 sometimes...
You should know, though, that (all seats) are good seats. Canal Street is
a very intimate setting, where you take a seat in the OTR living room and
commune for awhile. I'm not sure comfort comes into play, but who
notices... (concerning location:) Look for a corner facade (old building)
next to Etman's Printing. Good luck!"

Hope this warms all you lurkers' hearts out there!
