listie page (FAQ...you asked for it)

hey all.

(i can't *hear* you!)

seeing as the listie FAQ thing seems to be growing, i thought i'd
elaborate on my existane a little. eric, you can get my first post
about this fron chris, see what facts are incongruant....

NAME: Rick Callender although i'm known in various circles as "binky."
the "b" is always lower case. i got this nickname about ten years ago
when i was involved in a college bible study group. the three of us
who arrived first didn't know each other so we proceeded to introduce
ourselves. when it came my turn, i pulled out my wallet and started
leafing through the photographs therein saying, "Who am I today? Let's
see.... I'm not Jennifer.... I was Nell last week... won't be Deb
until next week...." as if these were the various personae i went by
on a weekly basis. one of the blokes then exclaimed, "Binky!" I
responded, "Yeah! That's it! I'm Binky this week!"

The joke was that every week i would have a different name altogether
so no one would really know my identity, but binky stuck. to go
further, being the artist i am, i lower cased the "b" in artsy fartsy
manner, akin to e.e. cummings....

as you can see, there have been numerous variations on this nickname....

i also am a singer/songwriter/guitarist with a CD titled "Undone" to
my credit. i currently wait tables during the day at a nice local
resturant, and play out anywhere i can after nightfall.

i went to my first rinky dink art school in Silver Spring, MD, and
graduated with an associates degree in 1991. Gained my BFA from
Indiana University in Fort Wayne, IN in 1998.
