The CD was written mostly during a time of big-time upheaval for the band. Their label had been
essentially trying to go under or not go under for a couple of years and they couldn't get out of
their contract, and felt very used. From what I've heard, anyway. That's what the first 3 songs are
about, anyway. Feeling like God had put them in a certain place for a certain reason, and then
wondering why He was just leaving them hanging, so to speak. Anyone else with any other info? Give
the CD time. It's my favourite of the 4, personally. It's just the richest, production-wise, and the
most consistent, music-wise.

I like all 4, but none of the previous three held the mood or the quality for the whole CD, imo. The
first half of _This Beautiful Mess_ borders on perfect, imo. But the 2nd half left a lot to be
desired. _Tickets..._ just seemed kinda tossed off and a bit half-assed to me. _Fatherless..._ is
pretty amazing, but it's almost got too much of a Sundays vibe sometimes. Like I said, I like all
three, but they have their weaknesses, imo.
