Re: dnoty

hi.
first, Jeff says:
>>I was jammin' Monk at Swenson's (only us akronites know what this is)
>>with the top down and wearing shorts over the weekend. Go figure.

I know what Swenson's is. it's a drive through burger stand, with male car
hops who management makes ~run~ not walk and they do have some
tay-hay-hay-stee food! (recalling my carnivorous days so many years ago.)
and good as Swenson's was, i always slightly preferred the
exact-same-idea-for-a-restaurant Sky-Way on the west side. I know what
Swenson's is, but then i'm an Akronite, too.

then comes the interesting part:
Jessyka says,
>..likely that prospect is, but, baby, you can get me drunk any time!
>
>(Don't let your wife read that...I was kidding anyway. If I could have any
>married man on the list of my choice, it would have to be JG. Love you
baby!)
>

now, how does one respond to that? i'm sitting here wondering "Jessyka,
have you ~seen~ Jeff?! this guy's pretty much a chapter unto himself
from the handbook titled "attractive male facial and body type assembly
manual". maybe you've forgotten what this man looks like! plus he can
play instruments, and has a flair for wardrobe. i almost wanna ~be~
Jeff Klaum! (singing, "i'm happy with myself").

I guess the only thing i can say here is, "Jessyka, i love you too, baby.
maybe in another life.... Thanks, though!"

{smiling happily.}

Oh, incidentally, Jeff? Um, don't you possibly have something to say about
this coming saturday? or did i misunderstand? and how's the new dog?

jessyka continues...
>....for me to appreciate it in it's entirety. I do remember my first
hearing
>of OtR when Karin and Terri did *Silent Night* and even though I *hate*
>that song, it was magic to my ears.

i love that version myself. Karin. Terri. singing. yumm!

jessyka continues...
>Thanks again, StevieBoo, for telling me about OtR a year ago! (wow...has
>it really been about a year?) I'm glad we agree on *something* musically.
>*blah*

well, guess it won't be the Pogues! (i love the pogues, steve!)

thanks for makin' my evening!

Portishead __portishead_

btw, on yesterday's glowing mention of Sixpence NtR's album __fatherless
and the widow__ (my least favourite) i decided to give it another spin
(literally) in the car ~with no other discs available~ for distraction.
maybe i'll come to like it as well as the eponymous one. or maybe not....

and (still reading down this far? i should sign my initials again at this
point, huh?) to echo a question from "mr." emery (i love this guy) "who's
coming to the anne e. gig this saturday the 12th?" in other words, how
much damn ice cream am i gonna have to buy? buy too much and dearly
beloved eats it all. buy too little and that's the last time you guys come
here!

the anne e. gig is at the oft-mentioned Brady's in Kent at 8. Jeff?...
