Schuba's is a bar. A nice one at that. Been there a few times to see OtR.

From what I recall from going in the past... most of the time people had to
leave after the first show and then re-enter.

Well I assume you know who to get to Chicago, unfortunately I usually take the
EL or a cab to the show.

I have stayed at The Essex hotel on Michigan Ave. right across from Grant
Park. Nice place and it has a deli/restuarant on the bottom floor which is
really good.
>6) Since I am making a road trip, what else is there to do in Chicago?
Chicago has a lot of things to do. Personally I like hanging out in Chinatown.
Again, I take the EL or a bus to get there. It is located near Carmack (I
believe thats the name of the street, have to double check). The art museum is
really nice. One of the best ones I have been to. It is on Michigan Ave about
2-3 blocks from the Essex Hotel. Grant Park is always a nice place to hang
out. Another suggestion is to go the Navy Pier. The planetarium is there and
there are other things to do there as well.
Hope this info helps. Hopefully I will be going to the Schuba's show as well..
