brooke's comment

Hi, all, this is my first time responding to this list. Be kind or shred
me, your choice. Being out here on the west coast, I NEVER see OTR, but
finally had the great fortune in Seattle.

It was a WONDERFUL show.

Although this is the OTR list, and I will gush about them at a moment's
notice, but I have to take issue with Brooke's following comment:

the cowboy junkies tasted pretty dull compared to them.

OTR and the Junkies are a perfect complementary to each other. They both
delve deeply into North American music stories, both rely on FANTASTIC
lyrics, both have men that write for women singers, and both bring quality
and beauty to their art.

In fact, the Junkies have always approached their somewhat mainstream
careers with integrity, and OTR, given their struggle with record
companies, etc, could learn from this band.

Brooke, you missed a great set.

Now I need to see me a fat two hour OTR set...
