independent, dammit.

would satisfy me too - i agree.  but given my choice,
i'd like to see edwards and george mitchell.  i like
the idea of a vice-president who's trained in quaker
conflict resolution and successfully brokered what is
now probably the longest cease-fire in the emerald
north over the past 83 years.
