Just out of curiousity...

Why, exactly, would someone join an email list,
remain on that list for years,
but never participate in community that evolves out of the list...

... except to say that the community should cease to exist?


There's this nifty thing called 'unsubscribing' that will effectively
simulate the same result, eliminating the list from one's email world.
Why not just do that and leave well enough alone?


Orchards don't grow on the bottom of the sea, to the best of my memory...
