I didn't cry. Felt like it, though.

Um... Well, got to respond here. I've been a Cubs fan for about 25 or so
years, now. And wanted them to win the NLCS more than I've wanted anything
in quite awhile. But I have to say that they didn't deserve to win this
series. At least post-8th-inning-6th-game, they didn't, anyway. I don't feel
that the Marlins beat the Cubs. In game 6, the Cubs beat the Cubs. What a
momentum shift happened after that one freak play in the stands. I mean,
they don't give up the extra-inning home run in game 1 and it's a sweep.

I want desperately to blame Steve Bartman for their failings, but A-Gon's
error, and 2 straight games of Dusty leaving the starter in far, far too
long cost them this one. I don't believe in curses, but both LCSs went a
long way in making me rethink it.

And Grady Little did the exact same things that Dusty did managerially (?)
in costing the Sox the ALCS. Don't any of them watch each other's games?

If someone with a watermelon-sized head was charging at me, I'd probably do
what I had to do to make him stop as well. 72-year-old man or not. Sorry. I
can't feel sorry for Zim on this one. Can't feel sorry for anyone in that
dog of a game. No one was blameless. Sure, you can blame Pedro for playing
"NHL-style" baseball, but how about Jeff Nelson putting the smackdown on
some shmoe in the bullpen?

Just my rare $.02.
