Yeah...

thing is though, even tho I dig Elliott Smith, I dig him about 25% as much
as I dig Paul Simon, mostly because all his songs sound the same to me,
lyircally and musically.  He does the "lush George Martin/Brian Wilson
arrangement underneath personally melodramatic lyrics" thing well, but
it's *all* he does. Either/Or is an amazing record, but both XO and Figure
8 just sound like Either/Or with a bigger budget...

Also, I dug Elliott Smith a whole more before I found my One True Love and
married her.
