What about their use of "shit" in 'Give Me Strength' (which, admittedly,
was written by someone else)?  Is that just a character thing, or is it
reasonable to say that Linford and/or Karin are speaking for themselves
there, albeit doing so with someone else's words?

Would love to read it -- profanity is something of a hobby of mine!  :)

And if you subscribe to the 77s listserv for any length of time, it won't
be long before e.g. you hear Mike Roe describe how the audience went
"apeshit" over something or other.  I'm pretty sure he's not just being
"in character" when he says stuff like that.  :)
