surely not the greatest poetry in the world ( hence my inclusion of it
in this thread) but I used
to get a kick  out of some of music/culture writer

history repeats itself
has to
no one listens

*After Some Thought A Poem
if I grow a
mustache
for you
will you grow a
ffectionate for me

*Worship:
she worshipped
the ground
I trod on

rejected
and full of
jealousy
I dug up
my footprints

*Depression
came here to write
a poem
on depression
but

got fed up
and left

*One
you make me whole
I'm not half the man I was

*Murder
they called him a murderer
but I thought he was simply
breath  taking

*Noise
when I play my records
at full volume in stereo
I have to close all the windows

I  can't stand the noise
of the birds outside
in the trees

*The Conclusion
my love she said
that when all's considered
we're only machines

I chained her to my wall
for future use
and she cried

*Humanists Love Poem
why don't we try loving each other?
(a strange collection of atoms I am)
feeling this molecular urge for you
--we must chemically react if we can

--one of my first poems written around the age of 15

yes it's true that I do have a Volkswagen
and in old days I never slayed dragons
but I think we can make it if we give it a try
so hop in and we'll go for a ride
