was a hard g.  Stop taking spanish classes for a year and you
forget everything ;)) with:

I wish everyone would learn to pronounce this word.  Most people
have the soft j figured out, but when I worked at subway I got so
sick of people asking for hal-a-pee-noes.  Oh well.  They didn't
know how to say "oregano" either.
