let's see. until i was 13, i had never seen a movie. my first movies were:
Labyrinth, and Neverending Story - they were shown in art class in my
second public school in as many months (as in, the previous school was my
first public one, and then we moved)

i don't think we had TV until i was 12 or 13 either, or we did, but never
plugged in the cables.... (:

we went to some pretty reclusive churches. iw on't detail, since i have no
desire to start a huge discussion on that sort of thing.

and we also moved a lot. when i was akid, i lived on bases. i dunno -
somehow the outdoors was way more interseting than the kids next door. i
was busy finding out where everything lived, and trying to take one of
them home for a new pet. (my nonchalant questions of 'dad, what does a ...
eat?' fooled no one)

there were books to read, and the great backyard to use to emulate said
explorers. (: and have new adventure with north wind.
