Re: Don't Bomb When You're The Bomb
Hallelujah! Heh heh. Yeah, sometimes I'm not sure why I like
them so much, but through thick and thin, for eight years, I keep coming
back to them. All the albums and singles and DVD's and all
that. Not every band needs mad insturmental proficiency, I have an
extensive Dream Theater and Yes collection for that. Sometimes I
want to just hear good, honest guitar pop songs.
It's hard to argue with the success they've had too, at least in the rest
of the world outside the US (which is musically beyond hope anyways as
far as the mainstream is concerned). And just when people had
written them off critically, they come back with a really strong new
album and a great tour. I think they still have a great future as
long as Noel and Liam can keep from killing each other.

Trying to understand if this post
was an Oasis slam or not, but am assuming it is.
I am not proud of the fact, but I, too, like Oasis. I can't tell
you WHY that is, only THAT it is. However, I have turned a corner in my
life and will no longer be made to feel ashamed of this fact due to the
propaganda and effite snobbery of some musical intelligencia that
requires lyrical content, correct grammar, or instrumental
proficiency. I will continue to like Oasis despite the lack on
logical or tangible reason to do so, and I will do so openly from this
day forward.
Join me brothers and sisters as we unite agaist Oasis appreciation
oppression!
That is all.
