Sigur Rós

what an amazing show. to me, it's like the evolution of modern music.. it
seems there hasn't been too much new in the mainstream in the past few
years, and this is pretty close. great performers, great mix. one of those
shows where you kinda forget you're at a show. although they're fairly
quiet, even on the loud "rockin" parts, the thousand or so in the audience
were so quiet 'til the song end. i kept looking at the "security" people
thinking it must be hell to be them if you're not a music fan.. when it was
over, i'd assumed they were on stage maybe an hour and fifteen minutes or
so, but it was closer to 2:10, and it was near midnight.

if you're not familiar, it's reminiscent (and influential, apparently) of
the quieter ambient parts of radiohead's kid a and amnesiac..

the new sigur rós cd, which is not titled nor do the songs have titles, is
in stores now.. :) the cd art is beautiful, evocative of the music, but
has no text whatsoever.

that there, that's not me, i go, where i-
