great questions.

i'd say:

amazing grace, for no real reason.

i'm tired of sappy songs. songs that make me cry.

my aunt sang the wind beneath my wings. it was ok.

dad sang amazing grace. that worked better.

and probably for no real reason either, Just a closer walk with thee.

calling all angels.

least in a bittersweet way, Little Blue River will always make me
picture my granddad smiling vaguely and waving his hands; sketching out
the beat.

the bagpiper's lament, and shenandoah, the old whaler chantey.

not super traditional.

i think music has a place everywhere, even in grief or in funerals. and
the over used are used for a reason, even overused. people can't imagine
maybe, intheir grief, of something different. or it's just so
overwhelming, that the most common rises to mind first.

if i had dared, i would've had little blue river played.
