Re: hard lennonade

"Imagine"

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

After opening up this can o' Dinty Moore worms I wanted to study the lyrics
again. I agree with Rhys that it's a *story* not something anyone thinks
will ever happen. Like what if the entire earth were made of chocolate and
the clouds made of cotton candy? It's truly never gonna happen but we can
think about it and smile for a moment.

No need for greed or hunger. No need to fight and die. Just everybody as one
happy group. Notice that Lennon calls himself a "dreamer."
