You're right. But since the apostrophe is supposed to represent an omitted 
letter, shouldn't it be li'l'? OK that does look odd.

What bothers me the most is when people but apostrophes in words to make 
them plural: egg's, shoe's, etc. Ewwwwwwwww *shudder*

BTW how many English majors do we have here? You're all such eloquent 
writers! ;)
