blatantly biased promotion (art & music)
Short version:
bunches of art, Ashley Peacock is playing a show,
free wine, free cookies... less than 2 weeks away.

Long version:
For those of you who do not have plans yet for part
of the weekend of May 31st... here are some things
going on...
My girlfriend (Margaret O'Brien) is a metalsmith /
jeweler / wing designer /fellow OtR listie
(http://www.pixieprincess.com/). OtR-content: We
met at Daniel's prior to the OtR Bogart's show on
March 22, 2001.
She has a studio located in the Pendleton Art Center
in Cincinnati, and she does original work and custom
jewelery design. The last Friday of every month
(and the following Saturday), the Pendleton Art
Center throws a big exhibit and they call it FINAL
FRIDAY. The Pendleton has 8 Floors of artists in
the main building, the Annex, the 510 building (my
girlfriend's studio building), and a Cafe with some
artists on the 2nd floor. Art for display, art on
sale... jewelry, paintings, glass work, pottery,
tons of stuff... It's really an awesome thing to
see all of their work. FREE WINE, COOKIES, JUICE,
ETC...
This is always a fun time... May's FINAL FRIDAY is
going to be a lot better, too, because my the most-
excellent ASHLEY PEACOCK is going to be playing
music in the 510 building all night (and maybe even
Saturday, too). He plays a 12-string acoustic, and
has a beautiful voice... folky-singer-songwriter...
a local treasure. Many of you have heard him on
the recent Over the Rhine Tribute CD.
Anyway, here are the details:
Pendleton Art Center
FINAL FRIDAY & SECOND LOOK SATURDAY
Friday, May 31st from 6pm to 10pm and
Saturday, June 1st from 12noon to 4pm.
Corner of 13th and Pendleton in downtown
Cincinnati.
FREE VALET PARKING is provided.
Art to look at and purchase (if moved), free
snacks and drinks... free music!!
