re: the word "abulum"...?




"abulum?"

linguistically it's a metathesis (phonemes switch
places inside words)...which sometimes happened from
classical latin to its evolution into various romance
languages...maybe it's the original of
something...maybe even something that was a resulting
"doublet"--where the word had different offshoots.  i
dunno.  i looked up "album," and it didn't have the
root explaining any  metathesis or doublet.  madness,
i tell you, sheer madness.

or it could come from homelife.  he has a little kid
(i have no idea how old), right?  maybe it's related
the the cute way that familiar word has been
pronounced (now or before) by his precious bebe.
