Glen Phillips, Nickel Creek & Swedish Metal

for those in the Columbus-area... Glen Phillips (1/4
of the alt-pop band Toad the Wet Sprocket) is going
to be playing at Ludlow's in Columbus-OH on Saturday,
March 23rd. $12 or something.

for those that like Glen, Toad, or Nickelcreek. Glen
was their tour opener last Fall, and they all ended
up hitting it off well, and they recorded an album
together.

personally, i don't know much Nickelcreek, due to my
lack of caring about what's on the radio, but i do
dig Glen Phillips a bunch. all i know is that i
keep getting them confused with Nickelback, but i
now know that that's quite wrong. blast!

anyway, it'll be called "Mutual Admiration Society,"
and it's slated for a July 2002 release.

in other news... Meshuggah, one of the most insanely
tight (musically) metal bands out there is on the
Ozzfest billing this year. i doubt it'll make me
suffer through the other crappy bands that usually
fill out the Ozzfest line-up... but it's nice to see
that Meshuggah got their visas renewed. their Destroy
Erase Improve CD is high-RPM brilliance.

loud music should be played loudly?
