Interesting. I think LAR has the most profound lyrics of any OTR song. It reaches me on several levels.
First, I place myself in the writer's place and remember that is exactly how I was when I first believed in God. I was confused but had a glimpse of Him in my mind, I (like in the Good Samaritan story) was bleeding and bruised and didn't feel worthy to come to the Father. I knew that I would do anything, go anywhere to be close to Him.
Second, the lyrics remind me of a time when my girlfriend (now wife) and I contemplated not continuing our relationship. I felt a lot of the same emotions. We were worlds apart in so many ways but the love broke down all types of barriers.
