I'm trying to discover the name of a particular musical instrument.

It's a percussion instrument, I think, and it's basically a handle with a
wood block on top. You spin it around and it makes a bunch of clicking
sounds. Seems to me like it's probably used in latin-type music, though I've
no basis for that hunch. It just seems like it would go well with maracas.

Anyway, can anyone help? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
