Did any of the thinking inanimate objects in Tom Robbins' 1990 novel,
Skinny Legs And All, have names (they did, after all, have genders),
besides their generic ones? Were they truly inanimate? Maybe they rolled
of their own volition. I remember a dirty sock being angry that his
clean twin was being taken somewhere exciting in Boomer Petway's
luggage.
