re: favorite cd's

Hola - I suppose i could throw in my top albums of the year - though i am
probably not as musically astute as my good buddy Layne -

                            In No Particular Order

1. Sleeping At Last_"Capture" - these guys rock, emo from Chicago (hey that
rhymes), and with a lead singer my age (18) they have a really mature sound

2. OTR - FFR - um ... yeah.

3. U2_All that U can't Leave Behind - not Achtung or the J-tree or The
Unforgettable fire but those albums are stiff competition - "wild honey" is
definitely my favorite track

4. Denison Witmer_ "Of Joy & Sorrow" - the first time i heard denison's
voice i knew i was hearing the voice of genius (boy i hope i spelled that
right being an english major and all.)

5. Ballydowse_"Into the Fertile Crescant" - Loud, fast, and a celtic twist,
play those bag pipes until your ears bleed sort of music - definitely not
calm

6. NIV_ "Tipping the Scales" - if you don't like brutal hardcore or an album
that lasts longer than 27 minutes don't buy this album

7. I've listened to the discs Layne listed and agree that they are good -
except for the Bjork Album - i cna't call it good or bad - i haven't listned
long enough to have an opinion

                             And Finally

8. Sigur Ros_"Agaetis Byrjun" - i don't know if it was released this year
but it was re-released on fat cat records so it still counts! - if you
haven't bught this album do so as soon as possible for the sake of your ears
- the best ambiant pop around *(along with Monk)* plus they're from iceland
and don't sing in english - so it's even more of a musical landscape

so that is my list

peace

Jarrod
