Marq, I loves me some ball lightning.

A small number of the electronic equipment (TV, phone) at my parents home 
was destroyed by ball lightning in the late 80s.  We weren't home, but it 
was just before or after a storm, and the old neighbor lady saw the ball 
float a few feet above ground level between our homes for a few seconds 
before it exploded.
