RE: piercings and places of business...

WOWOW! I Remember The Flying House! It was on right after Davey and Goliath
(that Gumby-ish looking Christian Claymation show), and Honey-Honey. Wasn't
there one called Superbook also? where the Bible gets dropped on a computer,
and it zaps the kids back in time to different Bible events?

Frankly, I think elitism is just as pervasive and corrupting as capitalism
can be. It's just one more way to build up walls. Unfortunately, it can
be a very fun thing to do, and it feels good when you feel that your
views are above someone else's...

And on my own completely unrelated note, Sherry and I just got the coolest
thing in the mail - all fifty episodes of a really odd Anime series that
was bought up by the Christian Broadcasting Network back in the 80s called
_Flying House_. From my opinion, the grooviest thing that CBN ever did.
The writers appear to have been on the good kind of crack, as the
writing's on the level of some of the better modern Japanese children's
anime including _Little Red Riding Hood Cha-Cha_.

The kicker, of course, is that we had to buy it from Cypress from a
company called arabmultimedia.com. The series has Arab subtitles, and
took several weeks longer than they said it would. We get the idea that
it may have gotten waylaid on the way in the current worried climate...

But it matters not. Professor Bumble, the Solar-Ionic Robot (SIR), and
the Flying House made it intact and in NTSC format. My wife is in
nostalgia heaven. We raised a glass of lager and watched them go back to
New Testament times last night before Buffy.

Glad you like it. There's a great series about Elian as a CIA assassin at
goats.com that you'd probably get a kick out of.
