isaac's knife and yesterday's poison

<<"isaac's knife can cut away /all the poison of
yesterday.">>

I'd have to listen to the song again, but it seems to
me that if the ram that is sacrificed in Isaac's place
is a type of Christ, then the knife would be what
kills Christ and that would be our the nails and the
cross. So then, the poison of yesterday (to my mind)
would be the sin we inherit from Adam and thus Isaac's
knife (or cross and nails), which killed the ram (or
Christ) would take away the poison of yesterday
(Original and actual sin). Anyway, that's my take on
it. That's a good line, any way you interpret it
though.
