one more for everyone

One album that i didn't see mentioned is the brilliant "The Juliet Letters" by Elvis Costello and the Brodsky Quartet.  The quartet, at the time of the recording (1992ish) were a group of thirty-somethings who had been playing together as a quartet for over 20 years.  They discovered that Elvis was a fan of their work (as they were of his) and put together this album.  It's the fictional account of a written dialogue between a Russian countess, Juliet, and her dead lover.
Musically, it is very beautiful.  The quartet does a great job of setting the tone of each song (letter), while Elvis is allowed to display his full range of emotions, from mocking to angry to very sad.  Really worth listening to.
