a little of the "just let us in"  hospitality would have been nice,  no?
the brave amongst you got brownies.  the sane amongst you said,  "who is
this man who is not like us and why does he wish to poison us?"  and refused
the tasty and unpoisoned brownies.

i still remember being cold.  up against a cold brick wall.   sitting on a
cold concrete sidewalk.   wind coming  ~at~ the wall,  not blowing over the
roof or around the building.   i don't remember rain.  so it could have been
worse.

if an alligator bit off your right arm, couldn't you still be right-handed?
isn't the question one of natural proclivity?   maybe you just wouldn't ask.
