Re: Taft.

OK, everyone, I think I'm going to buck up and attempt to make the drive
from Minneapolis down for the Taft show, but I'll need some help.

a) I have NO clue where/how to buy a ticket.

b) I have no place to stay, and I'm unemployed, so money is an issue. If
someone has a corner of the floor, or can split costs on a hotel room, that
would be great.

c) if anyone else is coming from Minnesota or points along the way and would
like to ride along, I'd sure love some company...

Any advice out there???

Jeff

Well, we're drifitng closer to the show. I'm already planning what I'm
going to wear.
I've gotten a few responses so far on the ride-board thing, but I need
more responses if it's going to work at all. Who's driving in, and from
where? How much room do you have in your car?
It looks like most people are gung-ho for both the after-dinner munching
_and_ the day-after brunching. Far as the munching goes, Uno's has been
suggested, as well as another place which sounds yummy but with which I
am not familiar. Or farm-animal, as jg used to say. (Where was it? I
can't find the pertinent email.) For the brunch space, I personally am
batting my lashes in The Drew's direction. I'll even cook.
One other thing to suggest is lodging. I know nothing about the area, so
I'm prolly not the best person to deal with this, but do people want to
reserve a block of rooms at some nearby hostelry? Are there some Lostees
willing to offer floorspace?
And did I ever mention I once dabbled in event management? Stop me before
I organise again!
