Re: Good Praise/Worship Music?

Hey, Barry,
I've found the Passion CDs to be pretty good, and any other Matt Redman
(I think that's his name) stuff... Also I hate to seem shamelessly
self--promoting, but my church has put out a series of original worship CDs
called "Songs from the Open Door". The first 4 of these were pretty cheesy
and overproduced if you ask me -- no offense to anyone I sing or play with
if they're lurking -- but the most recent one ("Greater Still") is a live
recording done coffeehouse style. Our current worship pastors are both
amazing musicians and they drag out everything from the accordion to the
Xylophone on this disc. OK, not REALLY the xylophone, but I don't remember
the names of some of their instruments. THAT disc I can unreservedly
suggest you check out.

Jeff

Subject: Good Praise/Worship Music?
Mornin' Everyone,
I have been in search recently of good praise and worship music. I have the
usual Third Day "Offerings", and Sonicflood's praise CD. I am currently
listening to my favorite worship CD's Darrell Evans, "Freedom" and "You are
I Am". I have asked people in my church and they put me on to the normal
praise and worship CD's. I am looking for something that is not only good
lyrics, but good musicianship.
So where do I go when I am looking for good music. The OtR list. It hasn't
failed me yet in this area.
I don't want to clog up everyone's e-mail system as there are some on the
list who have absolutely no interest in this kind of music, so if you would
like to respond you can replay to me off-list.
Looking for some uplifting Praise Music to lighten the load off some of my
day.
Barry
