For the record, it *wasn't* hateful... it was terribly sad, and scared, and
angry.
If you didn't get it from the rest of what I wrote, I don't feel hate toward
*anyone* involved here.
As for kindness or compassion, I'm not even going to pretend to have them
for people who are callously blaming my missing friends for their own
predicament (whatever it may be), and I have no 'kindness' for people
who say they wish this horror had happened sooner!
And, to carry a theme of the past few days, those who are vocalizing
an appreciation for that view can expect no more 'kindness' from me than
those who stated it first.
I wasn't expecting individual emails. I did think, perhaps, that I said
something that might provoke some reaction other than argument.
And I never said debate and compassion were mutually exclusive
in theory. They just appear to me to have been in the recent discussion.
I appreciate the comments of those who have expressed sympathy and who have
prayed. I will let you know when I hear something.
