I can't even do that-- I lived in England for a year.

All Federal buildings in Philly have been shut down. Anything over four stories is closing. 30th Street Station, our major Amtrak hub, is closed and evacuated. Independence National Park, which is in the center of the city and houses the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and other sites, has been closed. Coming up from the airport, there's an electronic sign over the highway saying all historical sites have been shut down. The Philadelphia Stock Exchange has been closed. All air travel has been suspended until further notice, so I have no idea when I'll go back to work. I'm home with my Mom right now-- Dad went out to Lancaster County to visit some friends, and we have no idea when or how he's going to get home. My aunt, a native New Yorker who now lives here in Philly, is coming over. My sister's husband, who works for American Express Financial outside the city, isn't sure how long it's going to take him to get home. My Dad's business partner, who was in the office here today but lives in New Jersy, isn't su
re how he's going to get home since the NJ Turnpike is snarled. Whoever asked about the plane crashing in PA, it went 80 miles outside of Pgh, the last of four hijacked planes. The part of the Pentagon that was hit was Army planning and logistics. And the other plane, I heard on CBS, hit Camp David. No one's quite sure where to put the President. Or Congress.

I'm waiting for this to be over. I'm waiting for this to be unreal.
