Fantômas - The Director's Cut (2001, Ipecac)
   utterly brilliant.  their last album was fukd up,
   but this one is quite ingenious.  a cover album
   of horror, sci-thriller, and gangster movies
   scores.  Mike Patton is a genius<.>

Kevin Max Smith - Stereotype Be (2001, Forefront)
   great vocals... good U2-esque (but far poppier)
   album.  Adrian Belew (King Crimson, solo, NIN,
   and everybody under the sun), Tony Levin (King
   Crimson, Liquid Tension Experiment, solo, John
   Lennon, everybody under the sun also), Matt
   Chamberlin (Tori Amos' drummer, etc), John Mark
   Painter (John from Fleming & John), and Owsley
   are all over this album...

other stuff today... Peter Mulvey/The Trouble with
Poets, Toad the Wet Sprocket/Coil, The Beatles/Let
it Be, Jonatha Brooke/Plumb, Mr. Bungle/California.
