Yeah, but this *first* "Planet movie was lame too: they're all
turkeys-- that's what makes them cool. The Burtonizing of the movie
was visually interesting, and I thought that Burton did a much better
job depicting the Ape culture. I think one can tell Burton loved the
originals and wanted to make one very much in the same vein.
A friend of mine thinks that the best PotA movie was the fourth one:
