Ric Hordinski (Monk)
I saw Monk. Very solid and very powerful concert.
Ric Hordinski says that there is a possibility of getting
back onto a label again. Mike Georgin on bass was
refreshingly abstract, the perfect match for Ric. Josh
Suerkamp was playing a normal drumkit and hitting it
hard like Brian Kelley. In the past Josh has played
exotic instruments from Africa and elsewhere, sometimes
with a tabla player alongside him backing up Ric and
Mike. Fun with reverb and feedback. At one point a
jam between two songs sounded like Indian music. Many
good jams between Ric and Mike.
